The Sound of Our Community
Radio Aztlan has reached listeners in the Inland Empire and beyond for more than 25 years, airing faithfully through the night on Fridays, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next morning. Deejays range from students to staff to community leaders. Programming is designed to preserve, educate and entertain, and features news, interviews, and traditional and contemporary música Chicana.
Radio Aztlan and Chicano Student Programs also host the exciting Radio Aztlan Music Festival each April. The festival provides a platform for many talented regional and underground Chicano/Latino musical artists who deserve more exposure. Radio Aztlan also presents awards for lifetime achievement at the festival, as a way to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to our community.
Radio Aztlan earned an Entertainer of the Year Award in 2006 from Hispanic Lifestyle, a magazine and media group committed to promoting positive images of the Latino community.
