AWARDS AND HONORS

We honor the high achievement of our students. By shining a light on their success, we celebrate their triumphs and show future generations all they can accomplish.

Chicano/Latino Graduation Banquet Awards

Each year, we recognize outstanding Chicano/Latino graduates at our annual Chicano/Latino Graduation Banquet held during spring quarter.

We present four awards during the ceremony. Categories are: Outstanding Academic Achievement, Campus/Community Service, Outstanding Academic Achievement and Campus/Community Service, and the Graduate Student Award.

Factors that will be evaluated when selecting award-winners include intent to attend graduate school, career objectives, employment, honors and awards, and community and campus involvement.

You can nominate students who have excelled academically and/or have made significant contributions to the Chicano/Latino community by completing this nomination formand returning it to Chicano Student Programs by the deadline indicated.

Including a personal statement or letter of recommendation is also helpful for the award selection committee.

Estudiantes de Corazón Awards

These special awards are presented at the annual Student Affairs Awards Ceremony, which takes place in June. The awards recognize students in all grades for their excellence in academics, leadership, service and overall dedication to the Chicano/Latino community.
