Inland Empire Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The Inland Empire Scholarship Fund will award $500, $1000, and $1500 scholarships to Hispanic students planning to attend a college or university in the fall. The scholarships are available to all Inland Empire and Riverside Hispanic students who are currently high school seniors or students currently enrolled as full time in a college or university; graduate students included.

M.E.Ch.A. Alumni Scholarship

The M.E.Ch.A. Alumni Scholarship Committee is offering (3) three - $500 scholarship awards to students who plan to attend or are currently enrolled at the University of California, Riverside and (1) one - $500 scholarship to a high school student who is AB 540 and plans to attend any institution of higher learning in the state of California (CA).

In order to be eligible and to receive the award students must have made significant contribution(s) to the Chicano community and have done well academically. There is a minimum requirement of a 2.8 GPA for transfer students, a 3.0 GPA for continuing UCR students and high school students.

Completed applications with a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and an unofficial transcript should be submitted to Chicano Student Programs no later than 5pm Friday, April 6, 2007.
